Looking to Immigrate to Canada?

Take a look at Canada’s Express Entry program.

Express Entry manages applications for permanent residence under the following economic immigration programs:

  • the Federal Skilled Worker Program;
  • the Federal Skilled Trades Program; and
  • the Canadian Experience Class.

Canada’s provinces and territories will also be able to recruit candidates from the Express Entry system through their Provincial Nominee Programs.

Potential candidates must complete a profile online by providing information about their:

  • skills;
  • work experience;
  • language abilities;
  • education; and
  • other details that will help IRCC assess their qualifications.

Those who meet the criteria of one of the programs listed above will be accepted into a pool of candidates. The highest-ranking candidates in the pool will be invited to apply for permanent residence. Points are rewarded using a Comprehensive Ranking System that includes the information in a candidate’s profile. Please note that entry into the Express Entry Pool does not guarantee the issuance of an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence.

Draws to invite candidates to apply are expected to take place at regular intervals over the course of each year. Candidates in the Express Entry pool who do not receive an ITA for permanent residence after 12 months can resubmit their profile and re-enter the pool if they still meet the criteria.
